BOSTON – February 7, 2012 – Sapient Corporation (NASDAQ: SAPE), a global marketing and technology services company, today announced the promotion of William (Bill) Kanarick to senior vice president and CMO from vice president and CMO. Kanarick oversees the corporate marketing function for Sapient worldwide, including the evolution of Sapient’s brand and sub-brands and its go-to-market strategies and offerings.
A 13-year company veteran, Kanarick has held a variety of leadership positions at Sapient, including driving the evolution of Sapient’s interactive business and the acquisition of Nitro Group in 2009 to form SapientNitro, creating a unique brand-led, integrated marketing and technology services firm.

For Sapient Government Services, he continues to define its value proposition to public sector clients, including the recent re-launch of its website. And, for Sapient Global Markets, Kanarick continues to advance its thought leadership with initiatives like the creation of an Advisory Council that brings together leaders to discuss the most pressing industry challenges and the publication of its semiannual CROSSINGS Journal for leaders in the capital and commodity markets.
Throughout his career, Kanarick has built and grown highly successful businesses in both Europe and North America. Prior to his role leading Sapient Interactive in North America, Kanarick spent six years in Europe, where he oversaw Sapient’s growth in that region from 2000 – 2006, including its expansion beyond the UK to a significant presence on the continent.
Kanarick has regularly served as a key advisor to CEOs and Boards on the application of technology to improve customer relationships. He appears regularly on the speaker circuit and is frequently quoted in publications including Ad Age, CMO.com, and MediaPost.
